ME&A is seeking an Assessment Team Leader for the USAID/El Salvador project “Rule of Law/Criminal Justice Sector Assessment”. The Assessment Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to this assessment and for ensuring the production and completion of quality deliverables in a professional manner, in conformance with the Statement of Work.
Education: JD or Master’s degree in development or related development fields, such as Political Science, Public Administration, International Affairs or other disciplines related to development assistance is required.
Language Proficiency: English Level IV and Spanish Level IV
Work Experience: At least 10 years of relevant prior experience conducting rigorous comprehensive rule of law and/or criminal justice sector assessments that have resulted in actionable recommendations and identification of successful strategies and partners. The team lead should have experience leading a team of legal and development experts in an assessment, in an international context similar to El Salvador, preferably in Latin America. Experience in Central America is a plus. At least 8 years of international development experience. Familiarity with USAID’s objectives, approaches, operations, and policies, particularly as they relate to Rule of Law and Justice Sector development is a plus.
