ME&A is seeking an Education Specialist for the USAID/El Salvador’s project “El Salvador Education Sector Review”. The Education Specialist will participate on the review team under the direction of the Team Leader. The Education Specialist will contribute to the development of the Education Sector Review methodology. While exact division of labor will be facilitated by the Team Leader, it is expected that the Education Specialist will be assigned secondary research duties such as desk reviews, secondary research compilation and analysis, and assist on the writing of all report documents. The Education Specialist may also conduct interviews and conduct qualitative data analysis.
Education: The Education Specialist must hold at minimum a bachelor’s degree in an education relevant field. Master’s is a plus.
Language Proficiency: Fluent or native Spanish speaker, and have at least professional fluency in English, or higher if he/she is expected to provide substantial writing assistance to the Team Leader.
Requisite Skills and Experience: The Education Specialist should have a minimum of five 5 years of experience in assessing, monitoring, evaluating and/or planning in the education sector. At least three 3 years of this experience should be in the Latin America region and preferably have a broad network of contacts in the education sector that can assist in secondary research and expert consultations.
